The Massachusetts Technology Transfer Center is pleased to announce the launch of the First Annual University Clean Energy Research Briefing Day on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at the MIT Tang Center, Building E51, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 70 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, MA 02139
University Research Briefing Day is a feature event of Massachusetts Clean Energy Week produced in partnership with the Fifth Annual Conference on Clean Energy and Boston Cleantech Venture Day. The event was developed in response to calls from the CleanTech business community for more access to the university research that fuels development of future clean energy technologies.
The audience for University Research Briefing Day will be drawn from the large pool of individuals-local, regional, national and international-attending other Clean Energy Week events, in particular those of our program partners, the Conference on Clean Energy and Boston CleanTech Venture Day. Event attendees will include local entrepreneurs, representatives from more established companies, senior academic researchers from other countries, as well as investors and professional service providers.
The afternoon University Research Briefing Day program is intended to provide a survey of clean energy-related research currently underway within the laboratories and research centers of the Commonwealth's universities. Briefings presentations will be organized by market area. Extended Q&A sessions will be provided. Following the presentations, an evening reception will be held for all Briefing Day attendees and all international registrants of the Conference and BCVD.
Massachusetts research institutions faculty are invited to make short presentations (approx. 15 minutes).
Graduate students from Massachusetts research institutions are invited to submit posters.
